Summary

We’ll consider the underlying objectives of the installations within the broader context of energy and moisture in the home. How informed occupants behaviour influence the efficient consumption and installation of services.

We’ll look at the improvements to internal weather; with the installation of polycarbonate secondary glazing, vinyl draught strip, locks and latches and how to use a foam applicator gun.

We’ll demonstrate improvement to the traditional hygrothermal envelope; the preparation and application of bio-aggregate, course and fine lime plasters, paper and paint.

We’ll discuss the appropriate use of materials and how the process effects both the resilience and aesthetic of the installation.
